Driving with automatic transmission – The comfortable solution for your driving license

B78 Driver’s License – Focused on Automatic Driving
The B78 license is a specific version of the Class B license that permits driving only automatic transmission vehicles. It is ideal for learner drivers who prefer driving without a clutch and want a more relaxed exam experience using an automatic car.

Since no manual driving lessons are required for the B78, training can often be completed more efficiently and with less stress. This option is especially attractive for those who plan to drive only automatic vehicles in the future – whether for comfort or due to physical limitations.

However, it’s important to note that holders of the B78 license are not allowed to drive manual transmission cars. If you later wish to drive a manual vehicle, you must complete additional training and a test to upgrade to a B197 license.

The B78 license is particularly suitable for drivers who value modern automatic technology and want a straightforward driving experience – whether in city traffic or on longer journeys.
